Dr. Tracie Jones is committed to making your pet's transition as comfortable and peaceful as possible for the entire family. She will work with you personally through every aspect of your pet's care from initial contact, to the euthanasia procedure, aftercare and follow-up.

Dr. Tracie Jones
Dr. Jones graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004.
She has practiced veterinary medicine in the Jackson Metro area since graduation, spending one year in primary care medicine followed by fifteen years in emergency and critical care. She now provides ultrasound services to the majority of the vet clinics in the area in addition to in-home euthanasia.

It was after saying goodbye to her family's own pet in 2008 that Dr. Jones discovered her passion for providing help to families when they feel the most helpless. Footprints Home Euthanasia was born out of her desire to allow pet owners the opportunity to say goodbye to their beloved pet in the comfort of home just like she was able to do for her Lab, Dixie (far left) and four years later, her Australian Cattle Dog, Cassie (middle). Most recently Dr. Jones had to say goodbye to her Australian Cattle Dog, Josie (far right). She said goodbye to Josie on a beautiful sunny day in August 2025 overlooking the pond where Josie loved to play.
Dr. Jones has been providing home euthanasia to pet owners since 2009.
